Basil Seed carrier oil is obtained from the seeds of Ocimum basilicum L. plant by cold pressing method. Sweet Basil essential oil is produced by steam distillation of the stems, flowering tops and dark green leaves of the aromatic Ocimum basilicum L. plant. These two oils should not be confused because they have similar names [1].
Cold pressed Basil Seed oil has a rich content of essential fatty acid components. It is especially rich in Omega 3.
