Pine Turpentine Essential Oil
Pine Turpentine essential oil is the terpenic oil, obtained by steam distillation of the gum pine. Essential oil of turpentine is also called “Pine Terpenic Oil”, “Pine Oleoresin” and “Gum Turpentine” The terpenic oil is used in the pharmaceutical industry, perfume industry, food additives and other chemical industries due to its pleasant fragrance [1].
Pine Turpentine essential oil generally contains alpha-Pinene and beta-Pinene compounds [1,2].
It has strong analgesic, antibacterial, antifungal, antiseptic, antiviral and anti-inflammatory activities.
